Abstract

An attempt is made in the present study to assess the ground water quality of Bhubaneswar city for drinking
purpose. For that nine different sampling points were chosen for water sampling in three different seasons
(winter, summer, rainy) of the year 2018. The results obtained had been compared with the standards. It was
found that the ground water is slightly acidic in nature. Most of the parameters except iron found below
permissible limit. Overall ground water is safe for drinking purpose
