This paper aims to investigate the properties of fresh self-compacting concrete incorporating recycled aggregates (RSCC) over time. Recycled aggregates included crushed red brick and crushed ceramic. Recycled materials were used to replace the dolomite used as coarse aggregate in control mixes. The replacement ratios were 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent by weight. Nine concrete mixes were cast and tested to fulfill the aim of this paper. The prolonged properties of RSCC were evaluated by conducting the slump flow test. The test was used to determine the time elapsed so that the concrete mixes would still fulfill the requirements of self compacting concrete. The effect of a re-tempering process utilizing a limited dose of a superplasticizer on the compressive strength was also investigated. The results indicated that the long fresh duration reduced by 48% for the mixes with crushed red brick compared to the mixes with crushed ceramic.
