Abstract

The movement of the burning gases, forming from the flame in the fires is of particular interest in two directions: the impact of the fire power on the stability of the structures of the building and its extinguishing respectively the prevention of its propagation. The work examines the existing zones of the flame in the fires and their characteristic peculiarities. The upward flow of burning gases largely approximates that of a convective jet, but develops at a much higher temperature. The speed and temperature distribution along the flame axis are investigated, depending on the power of the fire. Graphical dependencies were obtained for the change of density and velocity of the flame height.
