Abstract

Soil compaction is a serious problem for vegetable crops. This compaction is caused by the passage of gear on the soil, especially under conditions of excess moisture. We studied the influence of the number of passage of the tractor, and the permanent plates on the degradation of the soil and the compaction. The experimental pieces that are based on the repeated passage of tractors under two different tillage conditions. The study of the resistance to penetration is carried out on two plots, one worked in a conventional way and the other worked in permanent boards. This study showed an increased resistance to penetration by increasing the number of passage of the tractor on the ground. We have valued the density of the soil, and it has been found that there has been an observable increase in the density in the permanent boards. Statistical analysis showed that our experimental results are highly significant.
